I think I've found my Mecca...
Hi my lovelies, I'm back and had a really wonderful time. It's all been tremendously beautiful, I don't even have words. Everything went well, nobody was hurt, the car still worked at the end of our journey after driving for over 1.500+ miles. (I feel like we took the same amount by foot. ;)) I brought some pictures for you - just a few because I haven't gotten through them all yet. (I alone took over 500 and we had 3 other cameras with us. Yeah, you get the gist.)
Okay, here we go:
Bath - our first destination (and our favourite, tbh). What a gorgous city, really, and OMG, I FOUND JAMES McAVOY THERE. (Well, almost. ;) Unfortunately, you actually couldn't take James with you. What a pity.)
Oxford - our second to last destination. Really a beautiful city with a lot of colleges. The people... were a bit weird though. I don't know, maybe we met the wrong guys.
And finally, London. We were so lucky at our first evening there: the lighting was amazing! The rain stopped only a few moments after we arrived and the sun came through just as we passed the Westminster Bridge - et voilà, a rainbow. Perfection. I took like 100 photos of Big Ben alone. ;)
I'll now wade through all your posts and comments and will hopefully answer all of them by the time I'm leaving for my next short vacation next Wednesday. (Don't look at me like that! My grandma takes me with her. :))
I also feel rather creative since I'm back and made a wallpaper inspired by my latest rewatch of "Atonement". And because I'm indecisive as usual, I made two slightly different versions.

Gosh, I'm having such a hard time with those stupid LJ-Cuts, it's not even funny anymore. :S

Der Regenbogen war so ein Glücksgriff - das Licht allein an diesem Abend, ich hab mich halb tot fotografiert. Genauso wie das McAvoy-Café - ich hab vermutlich alle meine Mitreisenden bis auf den Tod genervt, aber ich fand das so lustig. Schwupps, am ersten Abend, James "gefunden". :D
Wir waren auch nur auf der Durchreise in Oxford - wirklich schöne Stadt, aber da laufen mir eindeutig zu viele Snobs rum. *vorurteile hab* Ich werd auf jeden Fall noch ein paar Fotos raussuchen und sie mal posten. Hab noch ein schickes von der Westminster Abbey hier liegen und ein paar, bei denen ich mit dem Makrozoom der Kamera rumgespielt habe. *eine spiegelreflex wäre sowas tolles*
(Ja, ich hab für den Post den Fehler gemacht, den RTE zu nutzen. Hab jetzt alles im HTML-Editor (hoffentlich) in Ordnung gebracht. Der Link müsste jetzt funktionieren, die Bilder müssten zentriert sein und überhaupt, die Cuts haben jetzt Text. Argh, was für ein Mist, echt. Allein das Spacing des Texts ist überall, nur nicht da, wo es sein soll. :S Und ja, ich hab mir die ganzen Bugs mal angeguckt, die mit dem neuen Editor kamen... Super Verbesserung. Aber gut, in HTML funktioniert's ganz gut soweit.)
